His hobbies include sailing, woodworking, bad puns, and hiking. David and his wife, Lisa, have two children, Stephanie (12) and Sarah (10).

David is certified as a personal life coach through the Lake Hickory Learning Communities of Hollifield Leadership Center. He serves on the Lead Team for the Innovative Church Community, www.innovativechurches.org.

Crossroads Community Church is a contemporary, community church providing a casual worship atmosphere, upbeat music, and practical Bible teaching.

Our praise band leads in worship with songs from Third Day, Aaron Shust, the Passion Band and other contemporary Christian artists. Our musicians are not professionals, just ordinary people who enjoy praising God through music.

On Sunday evenings we provide small group Bible studies, where people can find encouragement, develop friendships, and deepen their relationships with Christ. We are building friendships through spending time together. We are challenging each other to become more like Jesus as we pursue him on life’s journey.

Our youth group meets weekly for Bible study, games and hanging out. We are challenging our youth to live wholeheartedly, doing their best to love God and serve.

We have a heart for our local community. We seek to have a positive impact in Stokesdale, through recreation, benevolence, education, scouting, outreach and special community events.

We pray regularly for international needs and for specific missionaries. We recognize that God can impact the whole world through our prayers, our gifts and our service.

Our Journey Statement:
"We are fellow travelers,
walking God’s path,
living His power."
